WORKABILITY: INCLUSIVE PATHWAYS TO EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMME
ROLE DETAILS:
DARA is seeking applications for the role of Job Coach to join the
Workability Inclusive Pathways to Employment team funded by Pobal.
The role will involve supporting individuals in enhancing their
strengths and developing job skills. A Job Coach supports individuals
to improve job skills and achieve career goals. They develop coaching
plans, assist with goal setting, teach effective job tasks, provide on
the job training and support people with disabilities at work and
liaise with the employer. Strong communication and organizational
skills, along with experience in employment planning, are important.
This role will be key in supporting people with an intellectual
disability and or specific learning disabilities in paid work and work
experience, education or training supporting one person at a time in
the valued role of employee, student or trainee. The successful
candidate will support individuals in employment, work experience,
roles in volunteering, accessing training courses and accessing
club/community activities.
A detailed role description is attached. The Job Coach role will work
alongside the Careers and Employment Officer and Meaningful Day
Support Officer and is a key driver and champion in the organization's
efforts to ensure people are supported to have the best possible life
in valued roles as equal citizens.
Dara supports are delivered across several geographical locations in
Kildare. Wicklow and Dublin. The person will work collaboratively with
the Local Team Leaders, employment champions and support workers in
the development of careers & employment service
ROLE LOCATION: The HUB Celbridge,
SALARY AND TERMS: Specific Purpose Contract - 4 years
Salary will be relevant to experience and qualifications
Full time * hours per week
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
_ESSENTIAL CRITERIA_
* Proven experience as job coach
* Experience in working with people with disabilities is a plus
* Experience in developing employment plans
* Ability to adhere to regulations and standard
* Working knowledge of MS Office
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving ability
* Respect to diversity and ability to inspire and motivate
* Full clean drivers’ licence and own car
_DESIRABLE CRITERIA_
* Relevant 3rd level qualification
* Sales and marketing experience
